What do we need to bring to the first session?

We will have paperwork for you to fill out. You can also request that the paperwork be sent to you beforehand. We will need your insurance card, and any custody paperwork (if applicable).

How much does a session cost?

It depends! Lauren accepts most insurances, which is usually a copay set by your insurance company. However, some insurances require that you meet your deductible first. You can always contact your insurance company to find out the exact costs based on your plan. Private pay for Lauren is $125. Private pay for anyone who is a PLPC under Lauren is $75-$90.

How does it work?

The first session involves getting all of the background information on your child, family, and school life. It typically lasts about an hour. We can discuss their history without them initially, and then involve them on what they think they need to work on. Every session after the initial is typically 45-50 minutes.

how often do we need to schedule sessions for?

Again, it depends! Typically, kids are seen weekly or bi-weekly, at least initially. Then, the sessions step down, and can be monthly or as needed. The severity of symptoms and situations often determines how often a child or family should attend counseling. Sessions can be multiple times a week, if needed.

what are your hours?

We don’t have set hours, as our hours are set by appointment only. We do offer some before and after school appointments, which are usually the first to be booked. Currently, Lauren does not have any after school or evening availability for the foreseeable future.

Do you offer supervision?

Lauren supervises those who are working towards their LPC, and RPT/S™. Please refer to the supervision page for more information.

do you see adults?

Lauren works with children (ages 2-12). She does also work with some adolescents on a case by case basis. Some of the PLPCs do work with adults. Please go to our collective office’s website http://www.teatreewellnesscollective.com/ for more information on counseling for adults.
